Location: Remote/Gurugram/Chennai

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer (L3/L4) with 10+ years of experience, who is not only well-versed in network troubleshooting and support but also has a strong background in designing and architecting complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multi-vendor environments, including Cisco, HP, Aruba, Juniper, Avaya, and others, with a focus on architecture, design, implementation, security, and troubleshooting. You will play a key role in network architecture and solution design for global customers, ensuring the infrastructure is optimized, scalable, secure, and resilient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of network infrastructures, ensuring that solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with best practices.
• Define and implement network topologies, routing protocols, subnetting, firewall policies, VLANs, security measures, and other network infrastructure components.
• Conduct network assessments and provide recommendations for architecture improvements based on performance metrics and evolving business requirements.
• Design and implement high-availability solutions, ensuring minimal network downtime through redundancy, load balancing, and disaster recovery planning.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and integration of multi-vendor networking hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure devices.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all components of the architecture are correctly configured and integrated into the larger IT infrastructure.
• Ensure that all designs and configurations comply with security policies and meet the performance, availability, and scalability requirements.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues across multi-vendor networks.
• Lead the root-cause analysis for critical network incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal business impact.
• Offer third-line support for complex network issues, leveraging deep technical expertise and vendor support when necessary.
• Implement, configure, and manage firewalls (e.g., ASA, Palo Alto, FMC, Juniper, FTD) as part of the network security architecture.
• Ensure security is baked into network infrastructure, including VPN solutions, network segmentation, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and monitoring.
• Work on advanced security architecture and ensure proactive identification and mitigation of vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain clear and detailed network architecture documentation, covering designs, configurations, security policies, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
• Generate regular reports on network health, performance, and security posture, providing actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive as-built documentation for all infrastructure projects.
• Work directly with global customers to define business requirements and translate them into network architecture designs that meet their needs.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, solution architects, and other teams to ensure alignment between business goals and network infrastructure design.
• Mentor junior network engineers and provide guidance on network architecture and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience in network architecture design, including LAN/WAN, data center, cloud networking, and hybrid infrastructures.
• Proficiency with multi-vendor environments such as Cisco, HP, Aruba, Juniper, and Avaya.
• Expertise in network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, etc.), routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, IP addressing, and network segmentation.
• Deep understanding of firewall technologies (e.g., ASA, Palo Alto, FMC, Juniper FTD) and network security principles.
• In-depth knowledge of high-availability architecture, load balancing, SD-WAN, VPNs, and cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, etc.).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contractual / Temporary
