The CORP IT NETWORK team is part of IT Infra team responsible for managing Network, Network Security infra across SCM locations and CORP offices, The team manages Enterprise WAN, Campus networks, Data Center networking , SCM network, Wireless & also Network security technologies which includes Firewall, SASE,VPN.

About the Role: About the Role

Senior Network Engineering will be part of the IT Infrastructure team that provides design, deployment & Operational support for Network, services and requirements across the Flipkart Corporate ,Supply Chain and Customer Support centers. The role includes leading and managing Network and Network security operations team and focusing on Network operations and operational excellence initiatives and people management.

Responsibilities:

• Independently own the Network Infrastructure support solving complex issues and suggest design modifications as appropriate.
• Ensure SLAs are met.
• Responsible for performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting and capacity planning for the Network platforms.
• Perform monitoring and maintenance of the overall environment working with experienced team members.
• Perform change controls.
• Update process documentation and team portals.
• Develop, modify and execute policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company wide effect.
• Participate in troubleshooting, capacity planning and analysis, performance analysis & Root Cause Analysis.
• Review entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance.
• Communicate with peers and managers regarding system issues & participate in 24x7 on-call.
• Automate operational tasks to make processes simpler and more robust.
• Ability to handle multiple complex tasks in a dynamic environment, with tight deadlines concurrently.

Qualifications:

• BSc, BE in Electronics/Computer Science or equivalent required.

Required Skills:

• 4-5 years of experience in design, deploy & manage IPv4/IPv6 networks, majorly on WLAN.
• Supporting a diverse environment with multiple OEMs.
• WLAN platforms – Cisco, Zebra (previously it was Motorola) NX Series, Aruba, Fortigate, Ruckus.
• Solid understanding of design, deployment and support of WLAN Infrastructure.
• Experience in Wireless technologies.
• WLAN topologies, devices, troubleshooting.
• 802.11a/b/g/i/n/ac IEEE standards security architecture & RF site surveys.
• Experience is using spectrum analyzer/Similar tools to do pre and post implementation heat maps.
• Wireless and Local Area Network technologies in a large-scale geographically diverse environment.
• Knowledge on preventing DOS attacks, and wireless security vulnerabilities.
• Experience in doing performance enhancement in WLAN, post deployment.
• Experience in IP services (IPv4, IPv6, VPN, Multicast, QOS, SNMP, VOIP, SIP, etc).
• Platform knowledge on Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet/Palo Alto.
• Routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, MPLS, ISIS etc.
• Proven experience in network management & Expert knowledge of network analysis tools (Solarwinds, Nagios, Zabbix, Zenoss).
• Hands on experience with Protocol Analyzer tools & debugging tools.
• Knowledge on scripting languages like Perl/Python.
• Knowledge on Linux Platform.
• Engage with vendors.
• Good communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Candidates with Multi platform skills are preferred.

Pay range and compensation package: [7 to 9 LPA]
