Senior PHP Developer

Overview

• Development and Maintenance of Web Applications:
• Design, develop, and maintain dynamic web applications using PHP Zend Framework.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code based on best practices.
• Implement complex business logic and ensure scalability, performance, and security.
• Framework Expertise:
• Work with the Zend Framework to develop custom web applications and APIs.
• Customize and extend existing Zend modules to meet project-specific requirements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing Zend-based applications.
• Database Management:
• Develop and manage MySQL or other relational database structures.
• Write optimized queries and database design to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
• Work with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools like Doctrine to interact with the database.
• Collaboration with Front-End Developers:
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Ensure seamless interaction between front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end PHP code.
• API Development and Integration:
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs to extend the functionality of web applications.
• Ensure proper error handling and security standards when working with external APIs.
• Code Reviews and Version Control:
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Use version control tools like Git to manage codebase and maintain a smooth workflow.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and design patterns.
• Performance Optimization:
• Analyze and optimize the performance of existing web applications.
• Perform load testing, profiling, and troubleshooting to enhance performance and scalability.
• Security Implementation:
• Implement security best practices to protect web applications from vulnerabilities (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, etc.).
• Regularly update systems and packages to ensure up-to-date security patches.
• Testing and Debugging:
• Write unit tests and conduct integration testing to ensure the reliability and robustness of applications.
• Debug, monitor, and resolve issues reported by the QA team or end-users.
• Documentation:
• Create and maintain technical documentation for code and system design.
• Provide detailed explanations of implemented features and updates for team reference.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other team members to deliver project features on time.
• Communicate effectively in meetings and via email to ensure clear understanding of tasks and expectations.
• Continuous Learning and Improvement:
• Stay up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and advancements in PHP and the Zend framework.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences to improve skills and contribute to team knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with PHP and the Zend Framework (minimum 3 years).
• Knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases.
• Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience working with APIs (RESTful services) and web services.
• Knowledge of web security standards and best practices.
• Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
