Senior Principal Consultant-OJET OBDx UI developer

Overview

• Strong experience in Oracle JET (OJET):
• MVVM concepts, data binding, modules, routing, composite components
• Knockout.js (commonly used with OJET), RequireJS (as applicable)
• Hands-on experience with OBDx UI development/customization:
• OBDx journeys/pages, UI configuration, theming/branding
• Familiarity with OBDx extensibility approach and packaging/deployment (as used in your org)
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful services, JSON, asynchronous programming (Promises/async-await).
• Experience with build and package tooling
• Practical debugging skills using browser dev tools and logging/monitoring practices.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent experience).
• Typically 7-10 years of UI development experience
• At least 4+ years specifically with OJET and/or OBDx
  
  

• Develop and enhance UI screens and components using Oracle JET (OJET) and OBDx UI framework.
• Customize OBDx journeys/pages, themes, layouts, widgets, and component behavior per business requirements.
• Integrate UI with backend services via REST APIs, handle JSON payloads, and manage client-side state.
• Implement responsive, cross-browser UI using HTML5/CSS3 and modern JavaScript patterns.
• Work closely with Product Owners, UX designers, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Debug and resolve UI defects; perform root-cause analysis; support SIT/UAT and production issues as needed.
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews; maintain clean, modular, reusable code.
• Optimize UI performance (lazy loading, minimizing reflows, efficient bindings, etc.).
• Maintain technical documentation for UI components, configuration, and deployment steps.
