Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer with a strong background in backend development and hands-on expertise in Django, Flask, and FastAPI. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and optimizing databases, building scalable and distributed systems, and leveraging cloud technologies such as AWS Lambda. Experience with caching strategies, cloud networking, and optionally UI frameworks like React or Angular is highly desirable. Knowledge in machine learning and data engineering is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
• Design and optimize MySQL and MongoDB databases for performance and scalability.
• Implement effective caching strategies utilizing Redis and Memcached.
• Build scalable, distributed systems to support high-availability applications.
• Develop and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
• Ensure cloud networking and security best practices are followed.
• Optionally contribute to frontend development using React.js or Angular.
• Collaborate with data engineers and machine learning engineers as needed.
• Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.
• Expertise in Django, Flask, and FastAPI frameworks.
• Strong experience with MySQL and MongoDB.
• Proficiency in caching technologies such as Redis and Memcached.
• Solid understanding of distributed programming and scalable system design.
• Experience with AWS Lambda and cloud networking (VPC, API Gateway).
• Knowledge of REST API design best practices.

Good to Have

• Frontend development skills in React.js or Angular.
• Proven experience in machine learning and data engineering.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and the ELK Stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• AWS Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
