About the job:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using Django and Python
2. Architect robust RESTful APIs and microservices for seamless integration with frontend and third-party systems
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, data) to deliver end-to-end features and solutions
4. Optimize application performance, database queries, and system reliability for high-traffic environments
5. Implement and enforce best coding practices, code reviews, and documentation standards
6. Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ensure efficient data modeling and management
7. Integrate AI/ML models, third-party APIs, and cloud services where required
Lead debugging, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution with a strong ownership mindset
8. Contribute to system design, architecture decisions, and technical roadmap planning
9. Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with industry best practices
10. Mentor junior developers and contribute to building a high-performance engineering culture
11. Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and cloud infrastructure management

Other Requirements:

1. Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Python and Django-based backend development

2. Experience working in AI-driven products, fintech, or collections domain is a strong plus

3. Prior exposure to high-scale, enterprise-grade systems and performance-critical applications

4. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)

5. Familiarity with asynchronous processing (Celery, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ)

6. Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and microservices architecture

7. Experience integrating third-party APIs, payment gateways, or CRM tools

8. Exposure to data engineering pipelines or working with large datasets

9. Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools

10. Understanding of security best practices, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and data protection

11. Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment with high ownership

12. Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives

13. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and leadership-oriented approach
