The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1400 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and has recently welcomed new teams focusing on business applications. PlusOne Data Protection Engineering is the team behind the data protection services in every SAP environment, including platform SAP Converged Cloud as well as all public cloud platforms. By augmenting an opinionated global, platform agnostic offering with bespoke services, we are meeting the demand of SAP’s cloud business. Our roadmap includes a central, consumable and expandable variety of data protection services contributing to all businesses SAP is.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Developer to join the GCID PlusOne team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for designing and supporting data protection services, working with exciting projects within the PlusOne Converged Cloud user base as well as public cloud platforms. This position is a hands-on technical role spanning across design, build, and operations with a focus on issue resolution to remove customer technical obstacles and adoption challenges. You will leverage your problem-solving expertise to help customers to realize their objectives and improve the PlusOne Infrastructure.

What you’ll do

• You’ll be working closely with other internal teams, such as product management, designers, and end-users to ensure product success.
• You help develop and maintain tools to aid the continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) process.
• You deliver technical excellence by designing and developing a solution or product.
• You provide hands-on contribution for creating high-quality Cloud services and you share your expertise and knowledge with your team members.
• You contribute to the development of new products and features, based on customers’ requirements and aiming for a wide range of use cases.

What you bring

• You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• You have 8-12 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar role.
• You have the following soft skills
• collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• commitment to continuous improvement, both in terms of technology and processes.
• Fluency both written and spoken in English,

Tech you bring

• Sound scripting skills in languages such as Python, GoLang for automation tasks.
• Hands-on in automating repetitive tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Hands-on in managing version control and configuration management using tools like Git, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience in implementing centralized logging solutions using ELK Stack, Splunk, or Fluentd.
• Experience in designing and maintaining scalable, high-availability infrastructure on cloud platforms.

Embedded into technology and innovation, the group will work hand in hand with development, product support, cloud operations and our customer success teams.
