Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior QA Analyst with strong experience in manual testing, hands-on exposure to UI automation using Playwright, and the ability to handle production issues and RCA preparation. The role requires close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to ensure high-quality, stable releases.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing & Quality Assurance
- Own end-to-end functional testing for assigned features and builds.
- Perform detailed test design, execution, and validation based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Execute exploratory testing to identify edge cases and risk areas.
- Ensure comprehensive coverage across UI, workflows, and user scenarios.
- Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirement discussions from a QA perspective.
Automation Testing (Execution & Contribution)
- Execute and maintain UI automation scripts using Playwright.
- Contribute to automation suites by adding and updating test cases for regression coverage.
- Review automation execution results, analyze failures, and support stability improvements.
API Testing & Test Data Management
- Perform API validation using Postman or equivalent API tools.
- Support test data preparation, setup, and validation required for manual and automated testing.
- Coordinate with Engineering teams when test data limitations impact coverage or timelines.
Defect Management, Support & RCA Preparation
- Log, track, and manage defects through the complete defect lifecycle.
- Ensure defects are reported with clear reproduction steps, evidence, and impact analysis.
- Validate fixes and ensure timely defect closure.
- Timely and high-quality RCA preparation for production and escaped defects.
- Handle support tickets and production issues, including:
- Initial analysis and reproduction
- Collaboration with Engineering and Product teams
- Preparation of RCA documentation for production issues and defect leakages
- Participate in RCA reviews and ensure identified preventive actions are followed through.
Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate testing status, quality risks, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other QA team members.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and documentation.
- Support knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior team members when required.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong hands-on experience in manual testing for web applications.
- Hands-on exposure to UI automation using Playwright.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience handling support tickets and RCA preparation.
- Strong understanding of defect lifecycle, RCA practices, and quality metrics.
- Proficiency with JIRA and Zephyr for test and defect management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently drive tasks to completion with accountability.
