Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with over 6 years of experience in software testing and a strong background in automation. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in test automation, preferably with Playwright, but experience with other automation frameworks will also be considered. This role will focus on designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts using Playwright (or similar frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand the application and design comprehensive test plans, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
• Work in an Agile environment to support continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines with automation tests.
• Perform thorough test coverage including functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Identify, log, and track defects found during test execution.
• Develop and maintain testing best practices, standards, and guidelines.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior QA engineers, guiding them on automation strategies and tools.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex issues, working closely with developers to resolve defects.
• Review product requirements, specifications, and technical designs to ensure testability.
• Continuously improve testing strategies and automation frameworks, staying up-to-date with industry trends.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 6+ years of total software testing experience.
• 3+ years of experience in automation testing, with strong proficiency in Playwright or any other modern automation framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or other programming languages commonly used in test automation.
• Experience with test frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest, Jasmine) and version control systems like Git.
• Hands-on experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and experience in functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Experience in testing APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Swagger.
• Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting test failures, including working with developer tools.
• Familiarity with cloud services, containerization (Docker), and virtualization.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Playwright for end-to-end test automation.
• Exposure to cross-browser testing and mobile automation.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like LoadRunner or JMeter.
• Experience in testing web applications and mobile applications (iOS/Android).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical teams.

Education:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
