The Role

We're looking for a Senior QA Tester/Engineer with 5-6+ years of experience to join our technology team. This is a hands-on role where you'll be the first dedicated QA resource, responsible for both manual testing and building out our automated testing infrastructure. You'll work closely with our development team to ensure platform quality before releases go live.

What You'll Do

· Test new features and fixes before deployment

· Identify, document and track bugs with precision

· Define and implement automated testing for high impact areas

· Set up testing frameworks, tools, and standard practices

· Work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues

· Establish release validation processes and success criteria

· Support project-level testing when new client work goes live

What We're Looking For

· 5-6+ years of experience in QA testing and automation

· Strong logical and quantitative thinking - our platform is data-intensive

· Experience setting up automated testing frameworks from scratch

· Ability to understand complex technical systems - not just surface-level testing

· Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team

· Clear communicator who can document issues precisely

Bonus items/Nice to have

· Experience with Python, AWS, or API testing

· Background in data or analytics platforms

· Interest or familiarity with ML pipelines and outputs

· Part-time (hours flexible, circa 2-3 days per week), possibility to turn to full-time as we scale

Salary range

• Base salary: £10,000–12,000 GBP per annum full-time equivalent, part-time salary pro-rata based on days worked

• Performance-related bonus
