Job Description:

We're looking for a seasoned React Developer to help stabilize and modernize a large legacy front-end codebase built with jQuery 1.10, Prototype.js, and other deprecated libraries. The ideal candidate is skilled in reverse-engineering old JavaScript, improving browser compatibility, and planning safe migration paths toward ReactJS and modern tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and refactor legacy JavaScript (ES3–ES5) codebases
• Stabilize UI components using shims, wrappers, and polyfills
• Write unit test cases and browser-compatible code
• Propose modernization strategies and React migration plans
• Collaborate with .NET engineers and QA teams

Must-Have Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in front-end development
• Strong debugging and code analysis skills in procedural JS
• Expertise with jQuery (mandatory), Prototype.js, and legacy libraries
• Experience writing unit tests and ensuring cross-browser compatibility
• Hands-on with Vanilla CSS and UI stabilization techniques
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services
• Comfortable working without modern tools like no transpilation, module systems, or static typing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
