Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Selenium Automation Tester with strong Banking & Financial Services (BFSI) experience to support automation transformation initiatives. The role focuses on testing and validating Java-based automation services that are replacing traditional RPA bots, ensuring high accuracy, performance, security, and regulatory compliance for critical banking workflows.

The candidate will work closely with Java backend developers, RPA transformation teams, and business stakeholders in a highly regulated banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver (Java)

Validate end-to-end banking workflows transitioning from legacy RPA bots to Java-based automation frameworks

Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing for banking applications

Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and data privacy policies

Collaborate with Java backend and RPA transformation teams to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and risks

Contribute to automation framework development, maintenance, and enhancements

Conduct performance and load testing for critical banking operations

Prepare and maintain test cases, execution reports, defect logs, and automation coverage metrics

Provide testing support during UAT cycles and production deployments

Work with business stakeholders to understand banking requirements and convert them into effective test scenarios

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Automation Testing

Strong hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver with Java

Mandatory BFSI / Banking domain experience

Experience testing Java-based automation services or backend systems

Good understanding of RPA to Java automation transformation projects

Experience with automation frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Maven

Proficiency in API testing using RestAssured, Postman, SoapUI

Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bamboo

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Experience with test management tools: JIRA, Zephyr, ALM

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Skills

Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner

Knowledge of database testing and SQL-based data validation

Understanding of banking workflows like payments, settlements, KYC, reconciliation, etc.

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

ISTQB or Selenium certification is an added advantage
