Senior Software Developer

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in inceptions and iteration planning meetings, providing technical input for backlog refinement in collaboration with the product manager.
• Lead and contribute to daily stand-ups, including cross-site and product team discussions.
• Facilitate retrospectives, encouraging constructive feedback and continuous improvement.
• Engage in high-level and low-level system design, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Participate in performance tuning, enhancements, and technical review meetings.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align development strategies across multiple product portfolios.
• Act as a technical expert in one or more business domains, advocating best practices and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Mentor and guide the team in paired programming and test-driven development.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth deployments.
• Provide ongoing support for software products in production environments.

Technical Skills:

Spring Boot (90%)

• Strong expertise in developing REST APIs using Spring Boot.
• Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger, REST Docs, and OpenAPI Spec.
• Proficiency in service discovery, registration, and versioning.
• Hands-on experience in microservices architecture, designing and deploying scalable distributed applications.
• Experience working with Spring Cloud components for resilience and scalability.
• Strong knowledge of database interactions, including MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and caching mechanisms like Redis.
• Experience in asynchronous processing using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Security, OAuth2, OpenID, and SAML for authentication and authorization.
• Working knowledge of distributed version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), and build tools (Maven, Gradle).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and experience deploying microservices in cloud environments.
• Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and contract tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
• Strong understanding of performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizing Java-based applications.

Angular (10%)

• Experience with Angular framework for building interactive UI components.
• Ability to integrate REST APIs with Angular frontend using HttpClient.
• Basic knowledge of state management (NgRx or services-based state management).
• Experience in responsive UI design using Bootstrap, Material UI, or Tailwind CSS.
• Familiarity with unit testing Angular components using Jasmine and Karma.
