The Role: Senior Software Developer (C++ and Java)

The Team 

The Technology team works in partnership with other functions in the business to deliver quality products by providing software engineering and services along with quality assurance, that continuously improve our customer’s ability to succeed. The team is independent in driving all technical decisions and is responsible for the architecture, design and quick turnaround in development of our products with high quality. The team is located globally, but practices close collaboration with colleagues from multiple regions across the globe.

In this role, you will work in an enthusiastic team dedicated to supporting our critical technology systems, guiding business partners and end users with industry best practices, solution design, and creating long-term value for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Work with a fantastic group of people in a supportive environment where training, learning and growth are embraced
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications in C++ (primary skill) and Java (secondary skill).
• Implement and manage AWS cloud technologies, focusing on commonly used services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, SNS, SQS, RDS.
• Enhance application security measures and implement best practices to safeguard sensitive data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software on time.
• Take ownership of projects, from concept to delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives.
• Translate financial requirements into technical solutions, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial terms and processes.
• Work as part of an agile team to identify and deliver solutions to prioritized requirements
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to enhance performance, stability and usability.
• Support and enhance existing solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in C++ and Java software development
• Proficiency in SQL Server, PostgreSQL & GIT
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, SNS, SQS, RDS)
• Familiarity with T-bricks solutions by Broadridge
• Familiarity with test-driven CI/CD frameworks
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with UI framework like Angular is a plus
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
