The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join Parspec's talented engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will combine backend system design expertise, coding proficiency, project leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring. As an Senior Engineer, you will drive the delivery of innovative features while ensuring robustness, scalability, and seamless integration with Parspec's AI-powered platform.

You will work closely with Product, Frontend, and AI teams to transform feature ideas into reliable solutions, actively participating in the product lifecycle from estimation to production deployment and ongoing support. Additionally, you will oversee and enhance critical infrastructure on AWS and GCP.

What You Will Achieve And Key Responsibilities

Feature Development

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems (including APIs and messaging solutions) to support new features while ensuring modular code design and maintainability.
  
  

• Implement design patterns to create highly performant systems with sub-second latency.
  
  

• Build backend systems capable of scaling efficiently with increasing user demands.
  
  

• Lead feature/project lifecycles from estimation to delivery by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  
  

• Architect and optimize distributed backend systems for low latency, high availability, and maintainability.
  
  

• Act as the key point of coordination between Frontend, AI, and Backend teams to deliver cohesive features.
  
  

• Maintain high standards of code quality through reviews, modular design, and adherence to best practices.
  
  

• Deploy, maintain, and optimize backend services and infrastructure on AWS/GCP platforms.
  
  

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster growth and development.
  
  

• Ensure thorough testing of features while tackling debugging challenges in production systems.
  
  

Your contributions will be essential in building scalable backend systems that power Parspec’s AI-driven platform. By delivering high-quality solutions and optimizing infrastructure, you will drive innovation in construction technology while enabling seamless user experiences for a rapidly growing market.

Who You Are

You are a skilled backend engineer with 4–6 years of experience who thrives in fast-paced environments. You have a proven track record of leading technical projects while collaborating across teams to deliver impactful results.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficiency in backend software development using Python, Golang, or similar object-oriented languages.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and microservice architectures.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL databases (schema design and query optimization).
• Experience deploying and managing services on AWS/GCP platforms.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Skilled in performance optimization and debugging within distributed systems.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior team members effectively.
  
  

• Experience implementing design patterns and writing modular, maintainable code.
• Exposure to AI/ML pipelines and Elasticsearch integration.
• Hands-on experience with Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch within distributed ecosystems.
• Knowledge of web servers and distributed system architectures.
• Experience coordinating frontend-backend workflows during feature development.
• Familiarity with data pipeline technologies or AI-powered search workflows.
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub workflows, code review processes, and CI/CD pipelines.
