Senior Software Engineer - Data Platform

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design and implement components of the consent management framework
• Build privacy compliance reporting and data retention management features
• Contribute to the data certification framework with configurable data quality validation rules
• Help develop data lineage tracking capabilities with column-level granularity for sensitive data
• Build and maintain APIs for integrating data quality, privacy, and governance tools
• Implement data classification and privacy-preserving transformation pipelines
• Work cross-functionally with data engineering, analytics, and business teams
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers on data best practices
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years focused on data platforms
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java or Scala
• Experience working with microservices and data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Airflow, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services, preferably AWS
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and containerization (Docker)
• Understanding of data modeling and database design principles
• Knowledge of data governance concepts and basic understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA)
• AWS Certification is a plus (but not required)
