We are a technology-driven company seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Guidewire PolicyCenter Integration.
You will play a crucial role in working with technical and business leaders during Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations, ensuring that technical designs align with user stories and business requirements. Responsibilities
- Work with technical and business leaders during Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations
- Participate in requirements review and assess the technical effort needed for configuration
- Ensure technical design aligns with user stories and follows development best practices
- Leverage Guidewire accelerators for development activities and reuse architectural patterns
- Deliver standards-based code that is G-unit tested and code-reviewed according to specifications
- Develop integration solutions including Batch processes, Message Queues, and Event Messaging
- Create integration solutions with internal and external consumers
- Utilize Guidewire EDGE APIs to build reusable domain-based API solutions
- Establish and execute unit and integration tests, focusing on automation where applicable
- Conduct code reviews and ensure comprehensive testing during continuous integration and deployment
- Facilitate code gate-checking prior to promoting to higher environments
- Support all life-cycle phases during and post-implementation, including production support and maintenance
- Experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter integration development for a minimum of 4 years
- Background in developing web-based Java/J2EE or .NET applications for at least 5 years
- Experience leading offshore teams
- Strong experience with Guidewire Edge APIs and exposing Guidewire functionality to external consumers
- Advanced knowledge of XML, JSON, and SQL
- Strong experience with designing and developing Rest APIs or Web Services
- Knowledge of Commercial P&C insurance
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools like TFS, Rally, or JIRA
- Familiarity with source control tools such as GIT
- Understanding of Guidewire integration concepts, including Batch Processing and Event Processing
