Primary Responsibilities:

- As a Software Engineer, you will be accountable for implementing software solutions on a 4-6 person scrum team
- You will act as an individual contributor while providing influence over your scrum team
- You will interface with Lead SWEs, Managers and Peers to understand priorities and technical strategy
- Use best practices and experience to design, code, build, and test software solutions
- Providing accurate and timely estimates for tasks. Provide support and leadership in critical production support issue resolution
- Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Java and related technologies
- Front-End Development: Create responsive and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like Angular or React
- Back-End Development: Develop server-side logic, APIs, and services using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot
- Database Management: Design and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software.
- Support the team for application availability, reliability and stability on a 7 by 24 by 365 basis. Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
- Works with less structured, more complex issues
- Code quality will be one of your core areas of focus - ensuring your team’s user stories are effectively tested, peer reviewed and well documented. Mentor other developers on coding standards, problem solving, and application architecture
- On-call in rotation (once in 3 months), including weekends
- Exploring new technologies and conducting POC’s
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or engineering with a focus on AI
- 4+ years of full stack development:
- Any UI or Presentation Layer tech stack (Angular, or React or Java Script or Type Script or any other programming Language), React Native
- Middle Tier or Service Layer (Java, Sprint Boot, REST API, API implementation, Integration)
- Any Relational Databases - Oracle, DB2, SQL, PostgreSQL etc.
- Any non Relational or NoSQL Databases - MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.
- Proven solid organizational skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Proven self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
