Position Overview:-

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will collaborate with a team of developers, solution engineer’s and architect to maintain and enhance our applications.

Job Requirements:-

Your mission is to design, develop, and maintain robust mainframe-based solutions supporting Distributed Products and Cross Solutions within Digital & IT CPA Production Logistics, ensuring optimal utilization of IT investments. You work as a core member of solution and product development teams, contributing deep mainframe expertise (e.g., COBOL, DB2, JCL) across multiple initiatives where required. Your focus is on making sound technical decisions that ensure system stability, performance, scalability, and business continuity.

Mandatory Skills

As a professional, you actively contribute to planning, development, deployment, and ongoing support of business-critical mainframe applications within the Volvo Group and may also take on functional or technical leadership responsibilities within the mainframe and architecture domain. We are seeking a Mainframe Software Engineer with 5–15 years of experience possessing the following skill set:

• Mainframe COBOL
• Database: DB2
• Batch Processing: JCL
  
  

• IMS
• Stored Procedures
• Tools: IDz, Endevor
• Messaging: MQ (added advantage, not mandatory)
  
  

• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Analytical skills
• Effective communication
• Enabling close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
