Job Description
The Senior Developer brings a wholistic, departmental view to software development activities at ITM. They will develop a great understanding of the product and the technologies used. They will champion best practice development methods to ensure that deliveries are of good quality, maintainable, scalable, secure and performant in line with defined requirements and standards. The Senior Developer will be mentored by the Technical Architect in proposing technology solutions and building prototypes in addition to hands-on delivery of production code. They will have a good understanding of agile software development principles and how they contribute to the end product.
Skills Required
Technical Skills – Must Haves
- 5+ years of experience working with .NET and minimum 2 years of .NET core experience –
must including understanding of SOLID principles.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in writing internal- and external-facing REST APIs.
- Minimum 6 months’ experience writing services that interact with message queues like RabbitMQ.
- 2+ years’ hands on experience in writing optimized Entity framework and LINQ.
- 3+ years’ experience of writing unit tests with good coverage.
- A good understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with GIT best practices.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an Agile development environment.
Technical Skills – Nice to Have
- Knowledge of security protocols like Duende IdP, MFA etc
- Worked with SonarCloud, MEND Bolt applications
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps would be an advantage
- AWS experience
- PostgreSQL Database experience is a plus.
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Non-Technical Skills
- Proactive in proposing solutions and collaborating with key stakeholders in and outside of the team.
- Positive attitude to working together and delivering as a team.
- Able to guide and mentor more junior team members.
Work Experience and Notice Period
- 6+ years industry experience.
