Job Overview
The OTM Senior Software Engineer is responsible for implementing, customizing, and supporting Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) solutions for clients. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and developers to design, configure, and deploy OTM applications that meet business requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in OTM, integration skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Implementation & Configuration
- Design, configure, and deploy OTM solutions based on business requirements.
- Customize OTM workflows, screens, rules, and reports.
- Set up transportation planning, execution, freight payment, and fleet management modules.
2. Integration & Development
- Develop and manage integration between OTM and other systems (ERP, WMS, TMS, EDI, etc.) using web services, APIs, and middleware.
- Work with Java,XML, XSLT, SQL, and PL/SQL for data mapping and transformations.
- Troubleshoot and optimize integration processes.
3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Analyze and resolve technical issues related to OTM configurations, performance, and integrations.
- Provide post-implementation support, including bug fixes and enhancements.
4. Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with functional consultants to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Create technical design documents, test scripts, and user guides.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and support teams.
5. Upgrades & Optimization
- Assist in OTM upgrades, patches, and system optimizations.
- Recommend best practices for system performance and scalability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
- Proficiency in Java and SQL, must be able to do coding independently in complex programs.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware, SOAP/REST APIs, and EDI integrations.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) & OTM Cloud is a plus.
- Functional Knowledge
- Understanding of logistics, transportation management, and supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with order management, shipment tracking, and freight settlement.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field
- 10+ years of hands-on OTM implementation experience**.
- Oracle OTM Certification is a plus.
Work Environment
- This role may require travel to client sites.
- Remote or hybrid work options may be available.
