This is a hybrid role, where we are looking for an individual open to working 3 days per week in our Bangalore office (Prestige Tech Park).

About the Role

As a Software Engineer on the Workflow Automations team at AppOmni, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping key components of our cutting-edge SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) platform. Partnering closely with technical leadership, you’ll lead the design and development of mission-critical systems that monitor, manage, and remediate security risks across SaaS environments. You’ll harness the power of advanced AI development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and more, not just to boost engineering productivity, but to deliver meaningful value to our customers.

This is a unique opportunity to innovate at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, helping define best practices for AI-assisted development while building intelligent workflows that empower customers to stay secure and compliant.

This position in a rapidly growing security engineering company is an opportunity to take ownership of significant engineering decisions and implementation of technology that will improve the security of not only enterprise SaaS deployments but their customers and end-users as well.

You have

• Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
• A quality-oriented approach to building and testing applications including strong unit testing capabilities. Our engineers are expected to test their own code!
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Python 3. Experience with Django is a plus!
• At least 3-5 years of software engineering experience including object-oriented design, data structure design, and work on abstracted codebases
• An interest in data, security, and data security
• A knack for designing elegant solutions to complex problems requiring piecing together data from various sources
• Ability to work with and integrate external APIs
• Google cloud experience would be a plus

• Experience with Django Rest Framework (DRF)
• Experience with Google pub/sub, GKE, and Postgres
• Experience deploying and maintaining production applications in IaaS platforms
• Prior Application, Product, or Enterprise Security experience
• Experience writing integrations and/or connected apps for one or more of the following SaaS platforms:
• Microsoft365, ServiceNow, Workday, Atlassian
