Senior Software Engineer-ELK Backend Engineer

Overview

The ELK Backend Engineer is responsible to enhance the monitoring of the Business-Critical applications of the enterprise and align with the standards and policies defined by the Enterprise Tools and CSI department.

An ELK Backend Engineer is a specialist who uses data to monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and security of infrastructure and services. They design and implement observability solutions using various tools and frameworks.

Academics

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  
  

• Elastic Certified Engineer
• Elastic Certified Observability Engineer
  
  

• Overall 3+ years of experience working within a large enterprise consisting of large and diverse teams.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience on APM and Monitoring technologies
• Minimum of 2 years of experience on ELK
• An ELK Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana Lead is responsible for managing and optimizing the ELK stack to ensure efficient data processing, storage, and visualization.
• Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of ELK engineers and administrators.
• ELK Stack Management Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the ELK stack.
• Data Integration Design and implement data ingestion pipelines using Logstash or other tools.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of the ELK stack.
• Security Implement security best practices to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaboration Work closely with other teams to understand their data needs and provide solutions using the ELK stack.
• Documentation Maintain comprehensive documentation of the ELK stack configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Familiarity with Service now, Confluence and JIRA.
• Understand SRE and DevOps principles
