About The Role

This position is performed by an experienced professional and will undertake difficult research, design and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products under the guidance of more senior members of the squad. This position performs software design - typically across multiple components; is developing the skills of mentoring more junior members of the team and works with others to talk to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions

Responsibilities

• Working in an agile scrum team that works in a T-shape model to achieve a common goal and delivers value in 2-week sprints.
• Taking advantage of XP techniques such as test-driven development, pair programming and continuous delivery.
• Delivering software using modern technology stacks (microservices, single page applications).
• Developing test automation, including unit and integration testing.
• Suggesting and implementing solutions using AWS Cloud infrastructure.
• Working closely with Frontend, Data, System and Quality Engineers to build the product; receiving support from the entire team when needed, and willing to support them when necessary.
• Actively reviewing the implementations done in your team, and also other teams.
  
  

Requirements

• Hands-on experience for writing complex queries/aggregations on Elastic Search.
• Solid experience with Java and modern Java frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, availability and security.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL data sources.
• Nice to have Scala and Spark
• Experience designing / building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customer.
• Demonstrate clear understanding of CI/CD, building and running pipelines (ideally Jenkins, Github Actions).
• Hands on experience on Test Driven Development and automated integration testing.
• Cloud experience (ideally AWS).
