What Are We Looking For?

Contentstack is looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to help develop and enhance our next-gen Media Asset Management (MAM) platform. This role centers on advanced video and image processing, AI-driven metadata features, real-time collaborative editing, and system integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Processing & Streaming

• Build automated transcoding pipelines and proxy generation.
• Implement adaptive bitrate streaming (HLS, DASH).
• Integrate AI features: transcription, captions, scene detection, interactive elements.
• Ensure seamless CDN integration and system interoperability.
  
  

Image Processing & Editing

• Automate image conversions and thumbnail generation.
• Develop in-platform editing tools (crop, resize, filters, retouching).
• Implement advanced features: non-destructive editing, AI enhancements, ICC color management, vector integration, and parametric filters.
• Support real-time collaborative editing with version control.
  
  

System Integration & Collaboration

• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and QA teams.
• Write clean, scalable code; participate in reviews and debugging.
• Stay current with new tech and propose innovative solutions.
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with video processing libraries and tools such as FFmpeg and GStreamer.
• Proficient in image processing using libraries like OpenCV and PIL.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch for media content analysis.
• Solid understanding of modern web technologies and frameworks, including React and Node.js.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and integrating Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).
• Familiar with both SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as designing and developing RESTful APIs.
