The client is a global Chat Solutions company and Meta Business partner located in Cape

Town, South Africa.

Our primary focus lies in leveraging the WhatsApp Business platform to design and build

robust Software, Integrations, and APIs for various industry segments such as Retail,

Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics, Aviation, FMCG, Agriculture, Contact Centre,

Recruitment, BPO & IT.

In a nutshell, we love to solve interesting business challenges using the power of business

messaging tools. We’ve done our 10 000 hours building WhatsApp solutions, and have

established a long standing track record of innovation in helping clients solve uniquely

African business challenges. Some of our notable achievements have been building the first

ever Retail credit application and document collection chatbot eight years ago. In addition,

helping FlySAfair to deliver boarding passes through WhatsApp, as well as DStv offering

customer self-service using WhatsApp, both firsts on the continent.

How We Work

For Local staff we are quite flexible in the way that we work. For the first 3 months you will

be required to be in the office every day to help get to know the team and the business.

Following from there we have a flexible and hybrid approach.

For International remote hires the position is fully remote and will provide equipment as

needed.

What You’ll Do

You will be a key member of the team by helping with planning and implementing new

solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Node based solutions to be hosted on GCP.
• Participate in planning sessions.
• Function as a Senior developer / engineer in the development team making sure the
• team makes sound technical decisions.
• Optimize cost, performance, and scalability of cloud environments.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance are adhered to in all solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification Google Cloud (IE Cloud Architect, Cloud Developer, Cloud Database Engineer)

Knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (AKS) or Docker.
