We are looking for a candidate who has good experience in administering and maintaining Oracle EBusiness Suite Applications 11i/R12/R12.2 & PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. He will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance and support Databases hosted for Banking Applications and EBS systems implemented for DN projects at customer location. The ideal candidate should have 6-8 years of hands-on experience in the implementation, management, analysis, performance tuning, documentation, configuration, patching, upgrading and maintenance of the Databases.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Stay updated with PostgreSQL advancements and recommend best practices for implementation.
• Collaborate with developers and system administrators to support application integration and optimization.
• Planning for the growth of the database, watching growth trends for capacity planning. Altering the logical storage structure or design of the database to improve backup efficiency.
• Involving in Database capacity planning and future expansion requirements.
• Implement and manage database security protocols, including user roles and access permissions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime
• Responsible for installation and creation of Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases for production development and user acceptance testing.
• Maintaining database configurations in compliance with release management, change management, and office of information security requirements
• Maintaining strong database level security. Enrolling users and maintaining system security and troubleshooting Oracle errors.
• Provide Level-2 support to Application users, Handling User Support and Corrective Maintenance cases.
• Working knowledge on installation/supporting FMW 11g, 12c components like WebLogic, SOA.
• Managing database security. Creating user accounts, granting privileges, creating and managing roles, tracing user activity by initiating auditing and performing audit trails, managing password security.
• Performance and Resource Planning – Must be able to evaluate the overall environment and make recommendations for resource capacity configuration (Storage, CPU, Memory), and make changes to the system when improvements are identified.
• Oracle e-Business Suite and Database Migration to pure storage datacenters, Capacity Analysis, Technical Project Planning and migration Path, Hardware and File system layout, Installation, Upgrade Oracle database 10g/11g/12c, R12.1.3, R12.2.4/12.2.6/12.2.7 Install, Upgrade, Patch latest product code for AD and EBS Technology Stack, SSL Configuration, Workflow Components, Load Balancer in Multi-node Environment, Parallel Concurrent Processing (PCP) setup, JVM Tuning and Optimization.
• Tuning, Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database – Monitoring the database server on a regular basis to identify bottlenecks and find remedies Controlling the allocation of resources to various user groups.
• Tuning, optimization and troubleshooting multiple environments, stand-alone and pluggable databases, SQL and PL/SQL routines.
• Engage in day-to-day activities such as cloning, patching, performance tuning, capacity planning and monitoring all aspects of EBS system administration, user management, security, backup/recovery, SR management, documentation, etc.
• Taking database backups to disks, preparing backup strategies and monitoring backups. Create redo log files, take database backup, and schedule database backups at regular intervals. Backup of the database after implementing changes to the database structure and restoring whenever needed.
• Communicating with Application development team, giving tips for improvement, providing application requirements, monitoring performance.
• Responsible for Planning and implementing disaster recovery solutions, cloning and migrating the databases, using data guard, expdp and impdp.
• Controlling and monitoring user access to the database – authorization – setting permission on various parts of the database.
• Operational responsibilities will include supervising performance of database installations, configurations, and migrations as required
• Apply patches like Critical Patch Updates (CPU), Patch Set Updates (PSU), and One-Off Patches, Interim patches, DST, and Patch sets.
• Responsible for providing technical expertise in the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of an existing high-volume, data intensive system.
• Critical 24X7 Production Support, Extensively using EBS Application Administration, AD Utilities, Online Patching, Concurrent Processing, EBS R12.2 Clone Technique with newer version Oracle ERP applications technology Stack and WebLogic Server.
• Deploy and setup OEM 13c Monitoring and agents on EBS and database targets.
• Maintain Oracle EBS performance by planning and executing Oracle database, EBS, WebLogic tuning strategies.
• Responsible for all aspects of Application database administration including configuration, autoconfig, product upgrades, capacity planning, backup and recovery.
• Responsible for troubleshooting, performance tuning, testing, and administration support for Oracle Fusion Middleware applications for secure networks and public internet access.
• Good understanding of Oracle FMW deployment topologies, integration patterns, best practices, and architectures to support mission-critical and high availability implementations.
• Responsible for monitoring and administering Oracle EBS, Oracle DB, SOA, Jenkins, etc.
  
  
  

• 5-8 years of experience with managing Oracle EBS product at a technical and customer level, with focus on latest version of EBS 12.2 & Oracle FMW
• Expertise in managing PostgreSQL versions 12 and above.
• Scripting skills, particularly in UNIX is good to have.
• Strong knowledge of database security, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Perl for database automation.
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance tuning techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  
  
  

• Should be a Graduate in Computer/Electronics Stream.
• Experience with cloud/On Prem hosted PostgreSQL solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL extensions like PostGIS, TimescaleDB, or pgBouncer.
• Certification in PostgreSQL or related technologies is a plus.
