Overview
Roles and Responsibilities
On-Premises Administration (Windows s Linux):
- Deliver L3 troubleshooting and resolution for Windows Server (2016–2022) and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and network file services
- Deploy and optimize virtual machines using VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V
- Manage disk volumes, backup schedules, and patch baselines across systems.
- Coordinate escalations with OEMs and vendors
Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/Azure):
- Configure and manage IaaS components (VMs, Load Balancers, VPC, Storage, IAM, etc.)
- Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS EC2, Azure VMs, IAM, S3/Blob, Route Tables, Load Balancers.
- Troubleshoot cloud outages, VPC connectivity, access control issues, and performance bottlenecks
- Support hybrid cloud adoption and application migrations
- Assist with cloud integration, lift-and-shift migrations, and cost optimization practices.
Monitoring s Automation:
- Implement monitoring via Nagios, Zabbix, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor
- Create PowerShell and Bash scripts for automation, health checks, and maintenance
- Use PowerShell scripts, Bash, or automation tools (e.g., Ansible) to streamline administrative tasks.
- Own alert handling, event correlation, and SOPs for infrastructure stability
Technical Escalation s RCA:
- Take ownership of critical escalations, conduct RCA, and collaborate across cross-functional teams (Network, App, Cloud).
- Own end-to-end incident resolution and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Proactively address recurring issues and participate in problem management
- Collaborate with IT, cloud teams, and application owners for in-depth troubleshooting
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 10–12 years in enterprise IT infrastructure
- Role Type: Individual contributor, Hands-On Technical Specialist
- Strong communication skills: Able to document, articulate, and coordinate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Scope: L3 escalation support
Preferred Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science / IT
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server / Azure Administrator
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- RHCE / RHEL Certified Admin
