Your future duties and responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and BDD frameworks to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have hands on experience in designing scalable automation frameworks, executing end to end testing for web applications, and preferably exposure to mobile test automation using Appium.
You will work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure high quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

. Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and BDD (Cucumber/JBehave).
. Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
. Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
. Perform Web UI testing across multiple browsers and devices.
. Contribute to Continuous Integration (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated test suites.
. Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers for resolution.
. Enhance test coverage and improve framework scalability and performance.
. Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best automation practices.
. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Required Skills & Qualifications

. 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.
. Proficiency in Java programming.
. Hands on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
. Strong understanding of BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
. Experience in building and maintaining custom automation frameworks.
. Knowledge of TestNG / JUnit.
. Experience with version control systems like Git.
. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
. Strong understanding of STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.
. Good debugging and problem solving skills.

Good to Have

. Experience in Mobile Automation Testing using Appium.
. Knowledge of API testing tools (RestAssured, Postman).
. Experience in cross browser testing tools (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
. Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).

. Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast paced environment.
. Ownership mindset with attention to detail.
