. Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Position Description: We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about quality assurance, test automation, and continuous testing practices. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions through robust test automation frameworks and best testing practices.

Your future duties and responsibilities

. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications.
. Build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.
. Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
. Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing activities.
. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects and issues.
. Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
. Analyze test results, prepare test reports, and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to automation coding standards and best practices.
. Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, automation frameworks, and quality engineering trends.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Must-Have Skills:

. Extensive experience in test automation using Java, building scalable and maintainable automation frameworks for enterprise applications.
. Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for automating web application testing across multiple browsers and platforms.
. Hands-on experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber for creating reusable and business-readable test scenarios.
. Strong expertise in TestNG for test execution, test suite management, parallel execution, and reporting.
. Experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks using Page Object Model (POM), Data-Driven, Hybrid, and BDD framework architectures.
. Proficient in API testing and automation using tools and frameworks such as REST Assured, Postman, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
. Experience with source code management and version control using Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
. Skilled in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to enable continuous testing.
. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies including Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, Smoke Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
. Experience in defect tracking, test management, and Agile project collaboration using Jira and Confluence.
. Familiarity with SQL and database validation using Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
. Experience with test reporting and logging tools such as Extent Reports, Allure Reports, and Log4j.
. Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies with active participation in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release activities.
. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills with the ability to identify root causes of application defects.
. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with mobile test automation using Appium.

Good-to-Have Skills:

. Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
. Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
. Knowledge of API mocking and service virtualization tools.
. Experience with security testing and vulnerability assessment tools.
. Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools and intelligent test automation platforms.
. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
