Senior Test Engineer (Software)

Overview

About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer with strong experience in Android TV apps, Web applications, and Mobile app QA. The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end quality engineering across manual and automation testing, collaborate closely with engineering teams, and ensure release readiness with high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute test strategies for Android TV, Web, and Mobile platforms
• Perform functional, regression, UI/UX, system integration, and compatibility testing
• Build and maintain robust automation test suites (web + mobile preferred: Selenium/Appium)
• Develop test documentation: Test cases, test scenarios, RTM, and test execution reports
• Work closely with Product, Dev, and DevOps teams for Agile CI/CD QA processes
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and debug issues using logs and tools
• Validate OTT streaming workflows (DRM, Playback, EPG, Live Channels) is a plus

Required Skills

• Hands-on QA experience in Android TV ecosystem (Leanback, D-Pad navigation, Remote input)
• Strong experience in Web & Mobile app testing
• Automation experience using Selenium, Appium, TestNG/JUnit, REST API testing (Postman/RestAssured)
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, TestRail, Charles/Fiddler, ADB, Android Studio
• Understanding of OTT playback flows, performance/testing, and streaming protocols
• Good knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Good to Have

• Experience working with Smart TVs (Tizen / webOS)
• Experience with CI/CD integrations (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of analytics validation (Firebase, Amplitude, etc.)

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / related discipline
