The Data service is a ground-zero cloud service that aims to provide a unified solution that enables different personas in an enterprise to ingest and perform data transformations with ETL capabilities, govern various data artifacts including the models with compute at scale. This enables the enterprise customers to operate with a single pane of glass and to solve complex business problems to gain insights. This is a great opportunity to join a team that has been building a cloud-native service from scratch.

Responsibilities

Looking for a Senior Principal software engineer for my team in Bangalore - India.

• Flexible to contribute to any track as needed

As a Principal Software Engineer,

• Deliver code with highest quality
• Conduct code reviews
• Lead and drive design discussions for solutions to medium to complex problems
• Technically contribute to cloud infrastructure, security, and operations related aspects
• You are responsible to cut across different teams to find and build effective solutions that’s aligned with OAC’s best practices and guidelines
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to their success
  
  
  

• Minimum of 12+ years of work experience
• Technical Skills
• Strong java development skills
• Good understanding of object oriented programming concepts
• Good understanding of Distributed Systems
• Good understanding of unit testing frameworks
• Good exposure to CI/CD (Jenkins)
• Experience writing Unix shell scripts
• Good understanding of Maven
• Good understanding of Docker
• Experience building micro services on container orchestrator like Kubernetes
• Exposure to any cloud
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills in a Cloud environment
• Strong collaboration and assertive communication skills, analytical skills, and thorough understanding of product development is required.
  
  

• Knowledge on Scala, Python and Terraform
• Experience building Cloud platforms and solutions
• Big Data skills with open source technologies like Spark, Hive Metastore is a plus
