Software Developer (Hybrid/Remote-India)

Scope of Position

The Software Developer provides an enhanced knowledge of application support and development for in-house and product applications. Offers a business comprehension and technical skills to implement technical strategies that benefit the company.

Essential Job Duties

• Full life cycle development including new development from design, implementation and maintenance.
• Analyze/design/code/test/implement applications according to company/industry best practices and standards.
• May lead and direct the work of others.
• Provide software support for assigned business applications.
• Participate in the preparing/authoring functional and technical requirement specifications.
• Prepare test scripts and plans and work with business owners to test and accept changes.
• Perform database analysis and clean up as required.
• Assist in developing and following company standards and coding conventions.
• Provide ideas and vision for products and applications.
• Take ownership and is accountable for work.
• Develop and maintain documentation according to team standards.
• Monitor the performance and stability of applications.
• Develop options and propose recommendations.
• Develop/validate/maintain business recovery procedures and application troubleshooting practices.

Education & Qualification Requirements

• 4 year degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field.
• 3+ years of application development experience C#NET.
• 7+ years’ experience with ASP/ASP/NET, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Visual Studio 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2010.
• Experience with WCF, Web Services.
• Experience with SOA, REST.
• Experience with Win Services
• Experience with XML, XHTML and web services.
• Experience with multi-tier applications/architecture
• Experience designing and implementing MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 databases, Good SQL skills including stored procedures and triggers.
• Some software architecture and design experience preferred.
• Highly motivated, assertive self-starter that is goal-driven and detail-oriented
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adhere to best practices and programming standards.
