General information:
As the Software Developer of innovation Vehicle Control (m/f/d) you will drive new Software technology-concepts for “Software defined Vehicle” related to new EE Architectures and products, including cross-domain integration aspects (e.g., powertrain/e-mobility with ADAS and/or IVI platform interactions).
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Development of High-Performance Computing software solutions of middleware integration for automotive applications, enabling cross-domain service interaction and deployment on heterogeneous compute platforms.
- Design and Implementation and Prototype solutions of new software architectures based on AUTOSAR Adaptive and alternatives), including evaluation of suitable runtime, communication, and deployment concepts.
- Estimation of technology trends in electronic controls portfolio cross products, including SDV middleware, SOA frameworks, and platform evolution across domains such as e-mobility, ADAS and IVI.
- Contribute to “proof of concept” in closed alignment between innovation and Engineering teams, including hands-on integration on target environments (e.g., Linux-based POSIX systems) and performance validation.
- Elaboration of technical feasibility and presenting to expert communities as well customers, including architecture proposals, PoC results, and integration concepts for cross-domain SDV use cases.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science OR Electronics and Communication. Master’s degree desired.
- More than 3 years’ experience in Automotive Software technology and experience in international Software projects with global OEM’s, ideally including projects touching ADAS and/or IVI environments and their interfaces to vehicle control functions.
- Strong knowledge of C++ features and best practices; experience with Rust is a plus, especially for performance- and safety-oriented systems components.
- Broad experience with AUTOSAR Adaptive and Communication Protocols such as SOME/IP and DDS, as well as experience integrating alternative middleware stacks depending on platform strategy and customer constraints.
- Experience with POSIX-Based Operating Systems (e.g., Linux), memory management, multithreading, and performance optimization.
- Initial Knowledge of SOA principles and their application in automotive systems, including service lifecycle management and cross-domain service interfaces.
- Awareness of safety-critical systems and safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
