Overview
About the Role
Publive is a fast-scaling, AI-first SaaS DXP (Digital Experience Platform) empowering modern brands to own and optimize their digital presence. What began with leading digital publishers has now expanded across industries including media, BFSI, healthcare, and emerging digital-first enterprises.
We help organizations power high-performance websites, content ecosystems, and growth engines — optimized not just for search engines, but for AI-driven discovery across LLMs, recommendation systems, and next-generation content surfaces.
At its core, Publive combines scalable backend architecture, performance-first infrastructure, and AI-augmented workflows to help brands accelerate organic growth and digital agility.
We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer who doesn't just write code — but thinks in systems, ships with intent, and wields AI tools like a superpower. You'll work on our core platform, collaborating across Platform and Product teams to build capabilities that power real businesses across industries.
If you want to build infrastructure that sits at the intersection of performance, content, growth, and AI — this is that role.
What You'll Do
- Build and own full stack features — from Django REST APIs to React interfaces — end to end.
- Develop backend components that are fast, clean, and built to scale across multi-tenant publisher environments.
- Collaborate with the Platform team to consume shared services, follow architectural guardrails, and give meaningful feedback.
- Debug and resolve issues across the stack — not just the part you built.
- Write code that's testable, documented, and something you'd be proud to show your future self.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and async design discussions.
- Improve existing systems — not just add to them. Refactoring counts.
⚡ The AI-Native Expectation
At Publive, AI is not a side tool. It is part of how we build.
We expect you to actively use AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to:
- Accelerate development cycles
- Generate test coverage and edge-case exploration
- Refactor complex logic safely
- Explore architectural approaches faster
- Automate repetitive engineering tasks
- Improve documentation and knowledge sharing
We’re looking for engineers who already think in terms of “How can I solve this with AI assistance?” — and who can demonstrate measurable productivity gains because of it.
If you’re still coding exactly the way you did 2 years ago — this won’t be the right fit.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience building with Django and Django REST Framework.
- Solid proficiency in frontend technologies — JavaScript (ES6+), React, HTML5, CSS.
- Comfortable with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), and strong understanding of ORM patterns.
- A genuine habit of using AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate your development process.
- Comfort in async, distributed teams — you communicate clearly and document your thinking.
- BSc / BTech in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent real-world experience.
Bonus Points If You...
- Have worked on multi-tenant SaaS applications before.
- Know your way around content management systems, editorial workflows, or media platforms.
- Have built or shipped AI-powered features (LLM integrations, embeddings, RAG pipelines, etc.).
- Contributed to open source or have a GitHub profile that tells a story.
- Care about performance, not just correctness — you think about latency, cache hits, and query costs.
- Have optimized systems for scale (caching, background jobs, async processing, performance tuning).
- Understand Redis, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or AWS basics.
Why Publive?
- Your work reaches real readers — millions of them, across India's most influential enterprise brands.
- You'll work in a small, senior team — no layers, no politics, high ownership.
- We're actively investing in Platform and Product engineering — structured, growing, and building for scale.
- AI-first culture. We don't just talk about it — we use it, measure it, and build it into how we work.
