We are looking for a Software Engineer with 4 to 7 years of experience specializing in Visualworks Smalltalk. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of software solutions in a hybrid work model. Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications using Visualworks Smalltalk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality organization and automation.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Document software solutions and processes for future reference.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications.
- Assist in the planning and execution of software development projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Must have strong experience in Visualworks Smalltalk.
- Should have a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Nice to have experience in Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
- Must be proficient in software development methodologies and practices.
- Should have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid work model.
- Should have strong communication and collaboration skills.
