Software Engineer - Healthcare EdTech

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Software Developer to lead the development of modern, secure, and scalable web applications. The ideal candidate has solid experience with PHP (Laravel) and React.js, and a strong understanding of cloud deployment, system design, and agile product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain secure, scalable full-stack applications using Laravel (PHP) and the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)
• Design responsive user interfaces and robust backend services
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps tools (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, CodePipeline)
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code using best practices
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and fellow engineers to define and implement features
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and availability
• Maintain legacy systems (e.g., Hack) where needed

Must-Have Technical Skills

• Proficient in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with PHP (Laravel preferred)
• Strong in HTML, CSS/SASS, and modern front-end principles
• Understanding of HTTP protocols and web security
• Familiar with Git and collaborative workflows

• Bonus Skills (Preferred)
• Exposure to GraphQL, D3.js, PHP Unit
• Experience with third-party APIs, OAuth, integration patterns
• Knowledge of UML, design patterns, Agile
• Familiar with AWS/cloud, Docker, and tools like Sentry, Datadog.
