Software Engineer - POS Developer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of completing minor enhancements to allow customers to focus on major activities.
• Serve as a technical lead to ensure all tasks are completed within target timelines.
• Manage end-to-end responsibilities for handling critical production issues, including application monitoring and health checks.
• Provide effective shift coverage, especially during critical sales periods such as peak seasons, tax holidays, and long weekends.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve recurring issues in vendor applications.

Skills Required:

• Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and UNIX (Solaris) systems, including Unix Internals
• Experience with Shell scripting and Powershell for automation and system management
• Knowledge of Retail POS systems and application monitoring best practices
• Ability to handle critical production issues and perform health checks
• Experience coordinating with vendors and managing recurring system issues
• Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and data visualization (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
