As a Software Engineer- QA, this is what you’ll be doing:
At QS, we are dedicated to transforming the higher education landscape through our diverse range of products. As a Software Engineer – QA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our MoveON SaaS solution, which helps universities to manage global partnerships and streamline the processes that support international student exchanges and other mobility programs. You'll design and implement efficient testing strategies, conduct both manual and automated testing, and actively contribute to continuous improvement in our software development processes. This position offers a dynamic environment where you'll have to grow within a mission-driven company committed to empowering education through technology.
Role responsibilities:
The key duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Design and execute tests: Develop, test, and execute detailed test plans that ensure software functionality and performance meet our high standards.
- Comprehensive testing: Create and implement thorough test cases, leveraging various scenarios and use cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Manual and automated testing: Perform manual testing and develop automation scripts to identify and document defects, facilitating prompt corrections.
- Conduct regression tests: Validate changes through extensive regression testing to ensure new updates do not disrupt existing features.
- Document findings: Compile thorough documentation of testing processes, test cases, and results for use in future reference and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed: Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually refine and enhance testing methodologies. And any other duties that fall within the scope and purpose of the role.

Key skills and experience:
The following skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications are required to perform the role:
- Graduate or postgraduate in tech i.e. BE, B.Tech.
- Good working knowledge on Manual functional testing, Web testing and UI testing.
- Experience in analysing the new requirements and creating Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Estimation.
- Basic knowledge on Core Java, HTML, API testing (POSTMAN), Jenkins and SQL.
- Well versed with using the open-source bug tracking tool JIRA and writing test cases in TestRail.
- The following experience will be a plus point: Katalon automation, Git, Selenium with Java / Python, VPAT testing, cross browser testing, security testing, Performance – JMeter Testing.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other QAs, developers, and stakeholders. Self-motivated and able to work independently with guidance.
