WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a member of the Release Quality Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability of our Analytics product and supporting the infrastructure that hosts our Analytics services.
Candidate should have good communication skills, be collaborative and have a hunger to learn.
Initially, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and conducting post-mortems. As you grow with us, you will help lead the “You build it, you run it” philosophy, by developing robust monitoring strategies that will effectively inform developers and service owners of potential issues before they impact users. You will also help establish and promote good standards for developers to adhere to, ensuring our products and services remain reliable and efficient.

What You Will Be Responsible For
- Monitor and analyze the stability of our product and infrastructure
- Provide technical support and identify and resolve issues related to the Analytics services
- Conduct thorough post-mortem analyses to determine the root causes and devise plans to prevent future incidents
- Collaborate with development teams to establish best practices for stability and reliability
- Develop and implement stability monitoring capabilities to consistently inform developers and service owners of incidents and anomalies
- Help advocate for the "You build it, you run it" philosophy by involving developers and application owners early in the service development phases and ensuring they are notified when issues arise
- Maintain and improve security practices across the infrastructure.
Essential Technical Skills
- Problem-solving mindset
- Thorough knowledge of Azure services, including Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Networks (VNets), Azure Storage, and Azure Active Directory
- Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Scripting knowledge ( Powershell / Bash / Python)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (DataDog, ElasticSearch, Kibana, Azure Monitor, etc)
- Basic understanding of Networking
- Experience implementing and managing escalation workflows for incident management tools
- Proficient monitoring and logging skills (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, DataDog, ElasticSearch, Kibana)
- Proficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Use of AI in a relevant context
- Knowledge of Cloud security best practices to secure cloud environments
