Overview
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you are considered an experienced engineer with expertise in systems architecture, database programming, ASP.NET, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies. Skilled code developer and mentor able to apply secure coding best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and problem-solving abilities to deliver high-quality solutions. Proficient with containers, cloud platforms, REST APIs, and various programming languages.
Job Functions:
- Authorize code release to production ensuring it's secure and ready for use.
- Perform complex software systems architecture, analysis, design, and programming activities.
- Conduct defect investigations, bug verification tasks, and lead release testing and support.
- Participate in technical design meetings and contribute to the overall design of solutions/products.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for specific components within multiple products/solutions.
- Assist with design, implementation, and documentation on ongoing projects.
- Research and develop solutions for problems identified by QA, Professional Services, or Customer Care.
- Conduct unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
- Continuously improve coding and design skills, staying up to date with development best practices.
- Collaborate with the development team, stakeholders, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior software engineers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 7 years experience in basic programming foundation and knowledge of databases and operating systems.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and proficiency in at least one OOP language (e.g., C#, Java).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in full-cycle software design and development.
- Proficiency in specific frameworks and languages relevant to the role.
- Exposure to payment card industry (PCI) standards, RESTful Web Services, containerization (e.g., Docker), cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure), and integration experience with tools like Mulesoft.
- Familiarity with OWASP/secure coding practices, source code control tools (e.g., Git), and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Large Language models, Machine Learning, large data processing.
