Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience to support the development and enhancement of modern web applications. This role focuses on building reliable, maintainable front-end features using React.js and associated technologies, while gaining exposure to scalable application architecture and collaborative product development practices.
The Software Engineer will work closely with senior engineers, designers, and backend teams to implement features, fix issues, and improve overall product quality. The role is ideal for early-career engineers who are comfortable with core front-end concepts and are looking to deepen their expertise in production-grade systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user-facing features using React.js and TypeScript under guidance from senior engineers
- Implement reusable components using React Hooks and modern component patterns
- Translate UI and UX designs into clean, responsive code using HTML, CSS, and SCSS
- Integrate front-end components with backend services through RESTful APIs
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality
- Write unit and basic integration tests to ensure feature reliability
- Assist in identifying and fixing bugs and performance issues
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and QA teams during Agile development cycles
- Follow established coding standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines
- Continuously learn and apply new tools, frameworks, and front-end techniques
Experience and Profile
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack development
- Hands-on experience with React.js in production or project-based environments
- Basic understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- Experience working in team-based development environments is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is an advantage
Skills and Attributes
- Working knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- Experience with React.js and familiarity with Redux Toolkit or basic state management approaches
- Understanding of React Hooks and component lifecycle concepts
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and SCSS with responsive design fundamentals
- Basic familiarity with RESTful APIs and front-end integration patterns
- Exposure to Git and GitHub or similar version control systems
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and willingness to collaborate and learn within a team
