Software Engineer-2

Overview

We’re looking for Software Engineer, Full Stack to join Procore’s Resource Planning Team within the Product & Technology Division. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing features, working on both the Node.js backend and the React frontend. A strong foundation in backend development is crucial, complemented by the ability to independently develop and implement frontend solutions.

As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Product and UX teams to spearhead the development of new features and enhance existing ones. You will be a pivotal figure in shaping our team's technical culture, requiring a blend of robust technical expertise and exceptional communication skills.

This position reports to the Engineer Manager and will be based in our Bengalaru office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain and enhance existing legacy codebases.
• Design, develop, and deploy new backend features.
• Build user-facing frontend features leveraging our internal component library.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Develop and execute comprehensive tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their technical growth.
• Take ownership of system stability, including incident response and resolution.
• Identify and implement opportunities to refactor and improve existing code.
  
  

• 2+ years of experience in building sophisticated web applications.
• Understanding of backend development principles and best practices.
• Knowledge and practical experience with Node.js.
• Understanding of various database systems and their applications.
• Proficiency in React and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Highly organized with a proven ability to work autonomously and self-directed.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
