- Core Responsibilities to work as a DevOps Automation Engineer with proficient knowledge and experience on writing, fixing, debugging & deployment of automation scripts & pipeline.
- Software: Java, Spring boot, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, Rest API, OAuth
- Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture
- Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, HD insight, Application gateway, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)
- Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Spring boot, Gradle GIT, Ignite
- Should be able to write multistage YAML pipelines for build and deploy process automation and make sure it s consistent and repeatable process.
- Should be able to guide and implement branching merging stargates for parallel development.
- Should be able to automate Infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or any other IaC tools.
- Good understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps, Cloud (AWS/Azure/Google) architecture and drive the project to implement. Contribute to refinement and evolvement of DevOps and explore new technologies to enhance innovation and development productivity.
- Documentation of the configuration to enable and promote self service capabilities. Actively drive and support DevSecOps implementation.
- Secure that automated testing tools and pipeline are in place, environments are virtualized, containerized, and scripted.
- Work closely with developers to facilitate better coordination between development, deployment and release of products. Actively participate in CI/CD Communities of Practice/Interest.
- Continuous learning on the job and experimenting with new technology(s)
- Experience migrating systems to hybrid or fully cloud-based solutions.
- Supporting Build requests from Developers and fixing any issues which are identified during the build.
- Working on automation which will reduce the build time by modernization of components.
- Able to migrate the existing repositories to latest CI tools , example(Migrating jenkins to Github actions).
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Master of Computer Application (MCA).
- Highly confident with Windows, Linux, Unix operating systems including application installation, command line and scripting.
- Highly confident managing, configuring, and operating Jenkins CI software, including creating build pipelines from scratch.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience developing scripts in languages like python, bash, Windows batch/Powershell.
- Experience using automation tools such as Ansible, puppet, chef, including writing automation scripts/playbooks.
- Knowledge of build tools, such as ant, Gradle, maven, MSBuild.
- Familiarity with static code analysis.
- Experience using, managing and installing source code control systems (git, Subversion, CVS), especially GitHub.
- Strong knowledge of software best practices, build processes, and using IDEs
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
- Ability to read and understand log files, identifying issues and potential causes for build failures.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
