Software Engineer II

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality software of our Life Science products. The ideal candidate will help in building new feature functionality, modernizing technology stack, ensuring production support and bug fixes are taken care of and minimized. In addition to writing code on complex systems, this position provides direction on project plans, schedules and methodologies.

You will help support LexisNexis Reed Tech Life Sciences and our medical device and drug product platforms and their ancillary products. You will partner with other members located with you as well as other team members in the United States and South Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
- Complete bug fixes.
- Work closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
- Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Resolve technical issues as necessary.
- Keep abreast of new technology developments.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum two to three years' experience as Dot net developer
Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
. Proficiency with data manipulation languages.
- Ability to work with simple data models.
- Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: C/C #, SQL, .Net
- Familiarity of industry best practices — code coverage.
- Knowledge in Angular with some knowledge in Angular JS.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio professional, Git, SQL Server management studio.
- Azure cloud experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Basic knowledge of data manipulation languages.
- Knowledge of data storage subsystems.
- Knowledge of test-driven development.
- Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
- Basic oral and written communications skills.
