About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer in Test within the TechOps Systems and Integration (TSI) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and testability of complex integration workflows across cloud-native platforms. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams distributed across India, the US, and Australia to build automated test frameworks, ensure system health monitoring, and validate backend services critical to operations.

This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about systems thinking, automation, and quality engineering at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system-level integration and validation tests across distributed services
• Transition legacy gRPC-based validation suites to modern Python-based test frameworks
• Design and execute telemetry validation and load testing using tools like IPFix generators
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain configuration fidelity across staging and production environments
• Build reusable infrastructure for automated verification and system health monitoring
• Define quality gates and drive telemetry coverage throughout the CI/CD lifecycle
• Participate in design and requirements reviews to ensure systems are observable and testable
• Author technical documentation including test strategies, design decisions, and onboarding materials
• Lead test case design, automation, and interface validation efforts
• Support root cause analysis through log analysis, trace correlation, and system metrics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of experience in systems integration and test automation
• Proficiency in Python; experience building and maintaining test frameworks
• Hands-on experience with REST/gRPC APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures
• Strong debugging skills using logs, metrics, and tracing tools
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Helm is a plus
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially in a multi-timezone setup
• Self-driven with a proactive mindset and the ability to lead initiatives independently
