1. Job Purpose
OSB India, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience and a strong interest in DevOps, cloud, and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of backend technologies and frameworks and be proficient in full stack development. This role will require interaction across all relevant sites and some travel between OSB Group locations as required.

2. Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable backend solutions for our financial applications, using modern technologies and frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure the timely delivery of projects
• Integrate and optimize backend components with front-end user interfaces for seamless user experience
• Work with cloud platforms, specifically Azure, to architect, deploy, and manage applications
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the team's capabilities and the overall software development process
• Ensure code is well-documented and adheres to established coding standards
• Assist in mentoring and guiding junior developers

3. Experience Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience specifically into backend (desirable to have Full Stack ) working within Financial Services or Banking is desirable but not essential

4. Knowledge Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in backend development, including experience with languages and frameworks such as Java/Python (.NET desirable)
• Proficiency in Backend/full stack development, with a strong understanding of back-end technologies and front-end frameworks such as JavaScript.
• Experience working with databases like SQL, NoSQL, and ORM technologies
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and cloud-native application development
• Strong understanding of automation testing frameworks and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
• Adept at working in an Agile development environment and managing tasks effectively
• Knowledge of financial industry standards, regulations, and best practices is a plus
• Comfortable with version control systems such as Git
• Nice to have : nCino, Mambu
