Software Engineer (PHP – CodeIgniter Expert) 3-5 Years

About The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled PHP Developer with a strong foundation in CodeIgniter to build robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications. You will play a key role in developing backend logic, database management, API integrations, and performance optimization, ensuring seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• – Backend Development: Write efficient, reusable, and well-documented PHP (CodeIgniter) code to develop and enhance web applications.
• – Database Management: Optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL queries and design scalable database structures.
• – API Development & Integration: Build, test, and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange between systems.
• – Performance Optimization: Ensure applications meet high-performance standards, scalability, and security best practices.
• – Full Software Development Life Cycle: Take ownership of the development cycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and post-launch maintenance.
• – Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and stakeholders to align backend development with business objectives.
• – Code Reviews & Best Practices: Participate in peer code reviews, follow clean coding principles, and adhere to industry best practices.
• – Security & Compliance: Implement secure coding practices, prevent vulnerabilities (SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF), and ensure compliance with OWASP standards.
  
  

Must-Have

Skills & Qualifications

• – 3-5 years of professional experience as a PHP Developer (with expertise in CodeIgniter).
• – Strong understanding of MVC architecture and object-oriented programming in PHP.
• – Experience working with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• – Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.
• – Hands-on experience with HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and Bootstrap.
• – Understanding of Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• – Familiarity with server management, caching strategies, and security best practices.
  
  

Good To Have

• – Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Angular).
• – Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• – Experience working with third-party APIs (Payment Gateways, SMS, Email Services).
• – Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
