Software Engineer (Python backend)

Overview

Backend Engineer
Backend engineers to work on our Lending stack built on Python. The Engineer will work with Product Manager, Front End engineers, Customers and QA team on a day to day basis

Requirements
• 2-3 years of experience in Python
• Must be hands on with Database (PostGres/MySQL), REST APIs and OAuth flows
• Product mindset in designing and implementing features
• End to end lifecycle experience in implementing complex features – from concept to design to rolling out in production and being responsible for maintenance as well
• Must be self-motivated and must actively contribute to improvements in the product
• Must have good communication skills and must follow good practice in documentation, writing code comments, updating bug trackers
• Must be hands on with at least one of the major cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Process oriented with Unit testing, SAST tools

Nice to have
• Product company experience OR startup experience OR experience in large financial services project
• Exposure to regulatory requirements like OWASP vulnerabilities, PII handling, API security

• Exposure to Django or a Low Code No Code framework in Python

Responsibilities
• Develop features and improvements in the Lending stack in a secure, well tested and performant way
• Write Unit test cases and demonstrate unit test code coverage
• Participate in design discussions, peer review of code and contribute to improvements in technical implementation
• Participate in customer troubleshooting calls including occasional late night troubleshooting production related or urgent customer requirement issues
