Senior SW Test Automation Engineer – Web driver IO, Playwright, Java Script, Type ScriptJob Purpose
This role will be responsible for software test automation design, planning, scripting, and execution of a cloud platform product.
This role will report to Test Manager within the SWQA team and along with them, will seek to improve quality assurance by exploring new technologies, use modern test tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness and continuously work on increasing test automation coverage.
Skill Sets
Web Automation with Playwright/Selenium/WebDriver IO (preferably with JavaScript or Typescript)
API Automation
Good in any language –preferably JavaScript
Roles And Responsibilities
- 7+ Years’ experience in the software industry with experience in web, API, software automation testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright/Selenium/WebDriver IO in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to understand requirements and design test cases.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices for test automation, including code reviews and maintaining a clean codebase.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and delivery.
- Document test cases, test results, and defect reports in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and the healthcare domain.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of JavaScript and experience with JavaScript libraries
- Good exposure to GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps
- Ability to understand the automation requirements and derive test scenarios
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine, or Cucumber.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA) is a plus.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- The minimum necessary qualification is a bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field.
- Experience in developing/using test automation frameworks is essential.
